What can be learned from Fonterra’s performance in China, and how can New Zealand companies improve their likelihood of success in China?

Join Rod Oram - respected contributor and columnist – for insights and analysis of the dairy giant’s investments, losses and activities in China.

Since 2005 Fonterra has invested around $1.5 billion in three large, strategic initiatives in China. So far it has lost $1bn on all three, thanks to its write-downs on the investments, operating losses and debt service costs. Undeterred, Fonterra says its China strategy is developing well, with the country accounting now for a quarter of its global sales.

A question and answer session will follow the presentation.
